2012 New Business Filings Up Over 2011

The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State has announced that new business filings for 2012 (through April 30th) have increased over the same period last year.  Monthly averages for the first four months of the year were all higher than they were in 2011.  For April, the new business filings increased 23% percent over those filed in April last year.  ES Swanson Law is pleased to note a 100% increase in its new business formations from January through April this year compared to 2011.

Secretary of State Mark Ritchie says, “This growth in self-employment is the backbone of our economy and creates opportunities for our entire state.”  See his additional comments in press releases from April 3, 2012 and May 3, 2012.

Way to go, entrepreneurs!
